Goodnight, Captain Curly Head
Of the high chair brigade,
Orders are to go to bed 
And they must be obeyed!
All night, Captain Curly Head,
In the bright starry blue,
Angels are on sentry duty
A-watching over you!

So kneel beside me, sonny,
And say your little prayer,
The one we save for daddy,
The prayer for "over there"
Be brave, little soldier man,
