MY HEART WILL GO ON (LOVE THEME FROM TITANIC) (James Horner (m) Will Jennings (l) ) As released by Céline Dion < Let's Talk About Love > 1997 Also sung by: Neil Diamond Jackie Evancho Frank Patterson Paul Potts Julie Duff Jennifer Ebanks Sylvia Yacoub Reid Jamieson Forte Adele Taylor And many, many others Every night in my dreams I see you, I feel you That is how I know you, go on. Far across the distance And spaces between us You have come to show you, go on. Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you're here in my heart And my heart will go on and on. Love can touch us one time And last for a lifetime And never let go 'til we're gone. Love was when I loved you One true time I hold to In my life we'll always go on. Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you're here in my heart And my heart will go on and on. (bridge) You're here, there's nothing I fear And I know that my heart will go on We'll stay forever this way You are safe in my heart And my heart will go on and on. NOTES: Céline Dion, a Canadian, was born in Charlemagne, Province of Quebec, and is noted for her powerful voice. She has sold over 220 million albums throughout the world and her Las Vegas shows (2003-2007) were unprecedented in attendance. This song/lyric is indelibly etched in many people's minds because it was the main theme from the blockbuster 1997 film, Titanic. Director: James Cameron Leads: Leonardo DiCaprio / Kate Winslet / Gloria Stuart / Frances Fisher / Bernard Hill This particular song sold over 15+ million copies alone in an extremely short span of time. (Contrast best selling single of all time, Bing Crosby's White Christmas at > 50 million since 1944 (Guinness)). It was a huge worldwide hit in short order and reached the top of popularity charts in many countries. Many people hold that this song is Céline Dion's signature song. Interestingly, despite it's immense popularity, some felt that it was overplayed and consequently developed a 'not so kind' following, purportedly including one of the Titanic leads, Kate Winslet. Notwithstanding, the song won a plethora of awards worldwide, not the least of which was the 1997 Academy Award for the Best Original Song and Best Original Dramatic Score.
