THE WORM

One day a worm came up to me
One little worm one only,
It looked at me, and seemed to say
"There's no one here with me to play
Oh dear, I feel so lonely."

It made me feel so very sad,
'Cos I'm an only daughter
And though Nurse said one afternoon
"You'll have a baby sister soon"
My Dad, he's never brought her.

I looked around for quite a while
To try and find another
I couldn't think just what to do
And so I cut the worm in two
And gave the worm a brother.
