WAIT FOR YOUR OLD AGE PENSION

I had a job – yes, a very decent job, 
and I worked at it for more than twenty years.
Digging up the road with a shovel and a pick,
To think of it now brings me to tears.
But when I heard they're giving us a pension when we're old
I packed my pick and shovel right away.
What's the use of anybody working all his life
When he knows he'll get the money one fine day?

I'm going to have a nice long rest – no more work for me.
There's a good time coming in the sweet bye-and-bye
When we all have L.S.D.
Why anybody wants to bother with a job
Is beyond my comprehension.
Throw down your work and do the same as me -
Wait for your Old Age Pension.
