You’ve never seen a scene so pleasin’
When you see the wedding of the birds
Little blue jay and mister swallow
Showing the way for all to follow
Just to see the wedding of the birds

Little miss whip-poor-will
Will give everyone a thrill
When she says, “Yes I will”
To old parson crow

After the ceremony’s over
All of the birds will feed in clover
What a time at the wedding of the birds.

Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet
Hear the birdies sing
Something’s gonna happen very soon
All of the birds are in ecstasy
Can’t you hear them croon
A happy wedding tune
Hear the echo in the trees
Bring your invitations please
They don’t have to hire a hall
There is lots of room for all
Every big hawk will be kept outside
Just to be sure no one steals the bride
Better be there at the grand affair
Tomorrow morning
