Moonlight night stars shining bright
Sweethearts are strolling by my window tonight

To them to whole world seems bright

The heart that was breaking for you, dear

Now I’ve made mistakes some great, some small
Some are so needless, haven’t we all?
But the greatest mistake in all my time
Was to believe what you said when you said you where mine

As the long years unfold for me there’s not much in view
But if you ever find happiness it’s more than you’re due
If your nights seem so long, so endless and blue
