ALL IS WELL
(Jerry Leiber / Mike Stoller (m & l))
Johnny Mathis 1961
(Chorus)
Twelve-o-clock
Twelve-o-clock
(Mathis)
All is well
You’re back in my arms again
And that’s all that matters my dear, my dear.
All is well
You’re back in my arms again
No need to explain, you’re her, you’re here.
All is well
Tell the towns people all is well
Let the town crier call the time
And ring his bell.
Laugh or cry
Don’t know whether to laugh or cry
Knowing that between you and I
All is well.
(bridge)
All is well
You’re back in my arms again
No need to explain, you’re her, you’re here.
All is well
Tell the towns people all is well
Let the town crier call the time
And ring his bell.
Laugh or cry
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry
Knowing that between you and I
All is well.
All is well (with chorus).
NOTES:
Johnny Mathis has sold over 350 million records confirmed by Guinness World
Records and was the undisputed king of the romantic Fifties ‘make out ‘ music.
Interestingly, his Greatest Hits albums (3) starting in 1958 of which this song
is part, were the beginning of a trend copied by every record company to this
day (Greatest Hits). The first album of this collection still holds the
distinction of being the second longest charting album in the history of
Billboard (490 weeks).
