It must have been beginner's luck with me

I found myself a horseshoe
And I hung it on the door
I found myself a four leaf clover
And I looked around for more

I bought up every lucky charm
They carried in the store

I avoided every kitty cat

I collected lucky pennies
And piled up quite a stack
