DREAMY MOON
(Sidney Carter / Walter Smith, 1917)
Shadows falling, night time is here
Sleep little honey, the sandman is near;
Angels guard your sleep, little dear;
Slumber till golden sunbeams appear.
Starlight and moonlight bring silver and gold,
Go to sleep, don't you peep;
Don't mind the tear drop in your mammy's eye,
Nor her sigh, but slumber deep.
Shadows falling, night time is here,
Sleep little honey, the sandman is near;
Mother's humming this little croon;
Bring sleep to baby, dreamy moon.
