EVERY SO OFTEN
(Harry Warren (m) / Johnny Mercer (l) )
As sung by Patti Page on < Patti Page The Singles 1946 - 1952 >
This is my song
This is my melody
This is my song
The very soul of me.
Every note is a part
Of the love in my heart for you
Every word written there
Is a kind of a prayer
That you will love me too.
This is my song
This is my everything
Here is my heart
The song I sing.
And I know if you stay
When the words and music are through
I’ll sing my song
For no one but you.
(bridge)
And I know if you stay
When the words and music are through
I’ll sing my song
For no one but you.
