Farewell Sorrento (Torna a Surriento)
On the sea the sun is beaming
Every little wave is gleaming
Till my soul of you is dreaming
And I hear your voice again.
>From the shore the breeze is blowing
Where the orange trees are growing
Their sweet perfume all unknowing
All but steals my heart away
Smiling leave I saw you taking
All that once you loved forsaking
And I felt my heart was breaking
As I saw you walk away
Come again to stay
Or I shall die of longing
Farewell Sorrento
Return, I pray
