I’ve just been married about six months
Only six months you see
First three months was all OK
But the last three is killing me
My wife began her hissin’ cut down on her kissin’
And then failed to shine my shoes
My shirts a came up wrinkled my pants were dirt and sprinkled
Then I took the first year blues
Then she started nagging
Left the sink a sagging
With dishes piled up high
Food up on the table she said if she was able
She’ll cook something bye and bye
And I began a wondering
If I had made a blunder
When I said “I Do”
She must of read my thinking
Her eyes began a blinking
And that gal broke in two
Instrumentals
We’ll I heard the dishes crashin’
And I was gently dashing
Getting out of sight
Right there was my honey
On who I spent all my money
Turning into dynamite
And after she exploded
Her meanness all unloaded
And Things began to simmer down
I found myself a bleeding
And very much in needing
Stitches taken all around
Then she started crying
I found myself a sighing
And Then I took her in my arms
I was afraid to scold her
And So I gently told her
She didn’t do a bit of harm
Now the first six months is over
And I’m much the older
And experienced with a wife
If I can with stand the next six
My friends say I’ll be fixed
To take it all my life
