FOOD OF LOVE, THE
John Chilton
George Melly w John Chilton's Feetwarmers 1970's
Though I'm too plump for skin-tight pants,
I'm not finished with romance,
Since I've done my shopping at the local health food store.
Now all my food is compost grown,
My time's never all my own,
'Cause all the girls keep coming back for more!
Take a lesson from the rabbit,
Get yourself that greenery habit,
That must be the food of love.
Carrots grown in fertilizer
Never rise up to surprise yer,
They can be the food of love.
Go and spread the news around
That all my rolls are stone ground,
'Cause the wholemeal deal can mean so much,
When the little birdies come hoppin' around.
Wild rice and a little bit of thyme
Can make your nightlife quite sublime!
Munch it up, the food of love.
Take a lesson from the rabbit,
Get yourself that greenery habit,
That must be the food of love.
Carrots grown in fertilizer
Never rise up to surprise yer,
They can be the food of love.
Go and spread the news around
That all my rolls are stone ground,
'Cause the wholemeal deal can mean so much,
When the little birdies come flappin' around.
Wild rice and a little bit of thyme
Can make your nightlife quite sublime!
Munch it up, the food of love.
If you get the right nutrition,
You try your luck in any position!
Eat it up, the food of love.
If you'd be a champion wooer,
Get yourself on an ancient cure,
That must be the food of love.
Maybe you think your life
Should be erotic and lewd;
Take my advice,
It tastes real nice,
Macrobiotic food! (Ugh!)
Battery chickens have loveless lives,
But free range roosters have lots of wives!
They must eat the food of love,
The food of love,
The food of love.
