How can you believe when your love has gone?
How can you believe you'll find the strength to carry on
When your dreams, like the sun, disappear behind a cloud,
And you feel kind of lost and alone in a crowd?

I didn't know he would grieve me,
I didn't know he would leave me,
But oh, what to do
Now he said we were through?

How can you believe when you hurt inside?
How can you believe there is no place to run and hide?
But someday, I don't know when,
Maybe he'll come back again!
