I HEARD A ROBIN SINGING
Music: Conrad Leonard
Lyrics: Julius E Day
Recorded by the Luton Girls Choir
I heard a robin singing, one morning in the spring,
And as I listened lazily, my thought were on the wing.
Then as the Dawn was breaking, the moon peep'd from on high,
To hear the joyous melody that fille'd the morning sky.
Music melody enchanting
Nature is implanting
Ev'rywhere
Bird songs fill the air with gladness
Banishing all sadness
And all care
The heart that is broken
Mended may be
Grief that is unspoken
To you and me.
I heard a robin singing, one morning in the spring,
And as I listened lazily, my thought were on the wing.
Then as the Dawn was breaking, the moon peep'd from on high,
To hear the joyous melody that fille'd the morning sky.
