I’LL SEARCH MY HEART
(A. Ferguson / N. Westen / E. Rickman (m & l) )
Johnny Mathis 1963
I’ll search my heart again (Mathis & Chorus)
And try to see (Mathis)
Why I have lost your love (Mathis & Chorus)
It’s worrying me. (Mathis)
For if my approach created
An image quite untrue
I’d do anything to prove
I’m faithful to you.
I’ll search my heart once more (Mathis & Chorus)
And try to find (Mathis)
What’s to become of us (Mathis & Chorus)
Let’s keep this in mind. (Mathis)
I would like to spend my future only with you
I’ll ask my heart to tell me what to do.
(Chorus)
I’ll search my heart once more
And try to find
(Mathis)
What’s to become of us
Let’s keep this in mind.
I would like to spend my future only with you
I’ll ask my heart to tell me what to do.
NOTES:
Johnny Mathis has sold over 350 million records confirmed by Guinness World
Records and was the undisputed king of the romantic Fifties ‘make out ‘ music.
Confusingly, this song was released as a 45 rpm single and an album by the same
name.
This was the last album released under Mathis’ original contract with Columbia
before moving to Mercury for 4 years. He then returned to Columbia for the rest
of his career.
