You long to return to this heart of mine!

In my dreams (through the lonely lonely time)
You ask forgiveness, (how I long to see you smile)
With great joy my heart beats!
But you soon fade away
At the break of each day;
You were only in my dreams! (all night I see you)

In my dreams (yes in my dreams) you call me sweetheart,
In my dreams you are near;
