I waken to say it’s a beautiful day
Be it cloudy or dowdy 
With rain on the way, it’s a beautiful day
And all because your kisses thrilled me from the start
It’s never raining in the garden of my heart
With the robin hob-nobbing, I hurry to you
In a hide-away lane
Be it teeming, I’m dreaming 
Of our rendezvous, who cares about rain
So why should I run helter-skelter
