IT'S ALL OVER
Blanes / Hillier
as rec by Johnnie Ray 1976
No wonder that I can't sleep,
my mind is so confusing;
I've given up counting sheep,
I always end up losing!
And the darkness and the shadows
Remain with me till morning;
There's no escaping shadows,
The morning's just a warning!
Daylight comes and daylight goes,
And with it pain and sorrow;
The future that is facing me,
A life of no tomorrow!
Though you didn't mean to hurt me,
I can't go on pretending;
We're two lovers in a story
That has no happy ending.
It's all over,
But I can't bear to think you're gone!
It's all over,
I'll do my best to carry on!
It's all over,
But there's no peace in, ooh, what I do!
It's all over,
My life begins and ends with you!
It seems like endless dreams
Of mixed up sad emotions,
An emptiness that screams
Of broken love devotions;
And a heartbreak is no stranger
That never ever leaves me,
But I'll always walk with nature,
My heart won't set me free!
It's all over,
But I can't bear to think you're gone!
It's all over,
I'll do my best to carry on!
It's all over,
But there's no peace in, ooh, what I do!
It's all over,
My life begins and ends,
I thought it was for ever!
It's all over,
But I can't bear to think you're gone!
It's all over,
I'll do my best to carry on!
It's all over,
But there's no peace in, ooh, what I do!
It's all ...
