LET’S CRY TOGETHER (Kennedy Singleton) As sung by Patti Page 1962 (with The Merry Melody Singers Orchestra - Jack Kennedy) The four of us were once The best of friends Swore we’d always be together And our friendship would never end. But then one day it happened I lost my love, you lost your love There they go together Your Mary and my Joe. So let’s cry together And try to forgive them Though we both know We never can forget. (bridge) Our lives won’t be the same Now that they’re gone There’s an emptiness here in our hearts The place where they belong. So let’s cry together My heart is sad, your heart is sad There they go together Your Mary and my Joe. So let’s cry together And try to forgive them Though we both know We never can forget. I lost my love, you lost your love My heart is sad, your heart is sad.
