I've been away two weeks today.

Your favourite mare was suffocated!

My favourite mare is dead, do you say?

The wind was blowing overhead
And to the stable soon did spread!
And in a moment, as they say,
Your favourite mare has passed away!
Apart from that, Madame a la Marquise,
Yes, everything is going fine!
