MISS 1944
>From the film "Ever Since Venus" (1944)
Ina Ray Hutton & Her Orch. (Film Soundtrack) - 1944
STUART FOSTER:
In the days gone by, to beautify
Was a secret art for hi-falutin' faces
Times have changed and now we know just how
To do it on a big production basis
INA RAY HUTTON:
I'm Miss 1944, an up-to-the-minute lady
Cosmetically I'm a century ahead of Rosie O'Grady
I know tricks it takes to fix a face that couldn't be fixed before
They'll remember me in history, Miss 1944
(I use cleansing cream and tissue cream, nourishing cream
and vanishing cream, ev'ry night before I go to bed)
(Dyes, bleaches, vaseline, olive oils and brilliantine,
to beautify the hair upon my head)
(Liquid base and powder base and lotions for my hands and
face, shadow and mascara I adore)
INA RAY HUTTON:
I'm a Rembrandt with a powder puff
At making-up I know my stuff
They claim I guild the lily
But the boys say I'm a dilly (She's Miss 1944)
(They'll remember her in history, Miss 1944)
