Moonlight and magnolias
Made a silvery scented lane,
Blessed it with a love refrain
Where I strolled with you.

Moonlight and magnolias
Wouldn't let us say goodbye,
Till the stars way up high
Faded in the blue.

Night grew a curtain around us,
And the blossom would endure with a gleam.
Romance and happiness found us,
And carried us off in a dream.

Oh, moonlight and magnolias
Made the world a paradise
when we came to realise
We were in love.
