She's a movie buff, she can't get enough
Of that giant size super silver screen
She's a movie buff and Lord, it sure is rough
Tryin' to live out all her fantasies and dreams
When 'The Godfather' played our town
I was the only guy around
That had to wear the pin-stripe suits and pack a gun
She stuffed cotton in my cheeks
And for a month, one day a week
I had to listen to the neighbours problems one by one
Well I thought I'd done it all
Until she saw 'Walkin' Tall'
And when I think about it now, it just makes me sick
'Cause after parts two and three
She embarrassed the hell out of me
She made me run for sheriff and carry a great big stick
'Rocky's' one I learned to hate
'Cause she bought me a set of weights
And had me workin' out each day from one to three
She bought me tights and boxin' gloves
And then she told me she just loved
The way I said float like a butterfly and sting like a bee

When she saw 'Jaws', the stupid fool
Made me fill the swimmin' pool
With salt water, then she bought a little rubber shark
And I looked like a clown
With that thing chasin' me around
Thank God she let me wait till after dark
Well by now you probably know
That 'Superman' was the final blow
You shoulda seen the cape and tights she made me buy
And I wore glasses with thick frames
And I had to call her Lois Lane
And I had a hell of a time convincing her I couldn't fly

Boy, I'm glad she didn't see 'Star Wars' or 'Close Encounters'
Why couldn't she a-seen one of them triple X movies
We could've really got into something then
At least she could've saved money on a bunch of fancy costumes
Wouldn't-a needed no outfit for that
