MY SERENADE

My serenade
One night is in my lover's garden I astrayed
I heard the melody of my serenade
And it wasn't played by me
Sportly she played
This other lover playing my serenade
And for a moment poor my heart was afraid
That she'd steal my love from me
I saw him come to his window and I saw him open it wide
Then where the moon hid behind the cloud she tiptoed inside
Long time she stayed
This other lover playing my serenade
And then I knew that from the start
She stole his heart with my serenade
And so love was betrayed
To my serenade
Ay-ay-ay-ay
Ay-ay-ay-ay
