Baby smells like orange peel
cinnamon
vanilla
She smiles like sunrise
flowers
from Manila.

Many nights I float way down
the river
Duyadytandu just to see her.
Then I sit beneath the sweet
Jacaranda
Duyadytandu to gaze in
wonder.

Baby moves like moonlight
bamboo
bird flight
She speaks in love songs
sweet magnolia
dove songs.
