Peace is the quiet of our sleepy country town,
Peace is contentment with your loved ones all around,
Where soldiers made of gingerbread parade for little boys,
And guns are only shiny Christmas toys!

Peace is the comfort that you find in daily prayer,
Peace everlasting that the world should learn to share.
If only every heart could feel goodwill toward men,
And live in peace again!
