SANDS OF ROSA RITA
(Bonnie Guitar)
Bonnie Guitar - 1968
On the sands of Rosa Rita
In the night, gleaming white
The sands of Rosa Rita in the night
In the sands of Rosa Rita there's a legend
That a love like ours was never meant to stand
So to prove our love there is an old tradition
We must build three castles in the sand
The story goes when midnight bells are tolling
The waves that rush to shore with all their might
Must seperate and leave one castle standing
On the sands of Rosa Rita
In the night, gleaming white
The sands of Rosa Rita in the night
That enchanted night, we prayed and built our castle
As the breakers rushed ashore with all their might
As the clock struck twelve, we saw two castles tumble
When the waves were gone, one castle was in sight
Standing tall on the sands of Rosa Rita
In the night, gleaming white
The sands of Rosa Rita in the night
