SEA, DREAMS AND FAIRYTALES
(Toy Caldwell)
The Marshall Tucker Band - 1981
Many people in life seem to set their sails
For dream worlds just filled with fairytales
Life comes and goes like the changing tide
Keeping the real world that they live in out of their mind
Life is like the blackness of the sea
And no one will ever understand this mystery
And heaven has a way to try and warn
The poor fool that sets his ship towards the storm
And as they head their ship into the raging wind
That's the place where most dreams usually end
(Instrumental Break)
Life is like the blackness of the sea
And no one will ever understand this mystery
Unto the steps I hope I never descend
It's too far to the top to start all over again
So set your course and be careful you're not harmed
Not like us, the sea, the dreams and fairytales
Will always live on
