SHOPPING (Vera Lynn)

Shopping, shopping, shopping,
When mommy takes me shopping
She goes to bakers for the bread,
When all I want is cakes instead!
Shopping, shopping, shopping,
When mommy takes me shopping,
Next door to the butcher's there's a shop
Where I can buy a lollipop.
We look in all the windows
To see what we can buy;
Tomorrow's daddy's birthday,
I wonder, should we buy a tie?
Shopping, shopping, shopping,
We're always going shopping!
Though mommy loves to shop all day,
We carry parcels all the way!
I'd rather stay at home and play
Than shopping, shopping, shopping!
Shopping, shopping, shopping,
When mommy takes me shopping
We rush around, but when we stop
It's never at the ice cream shop!
Shopping, shopping, shopping,
When mommy takes me shopping,
We meet a neighbour on the way,
We chat and chat and chat all day!
We look in all the windows,
And perhaps I'll play a game;
I'll draw some funny pictures
By breathing on the window pane!
Shopping, shopping, shopping,
We're always going shopping!
Though mommy thinks we're having fun,
To tell the truth, it isn't fun!
I'm jolly glad when we are done
With shopping,
Shopping, shopping,
Shopping, shopping, shopping!
