THIS IS MY TOWN
(Cornelius Halfin / John Halfin)
Lita Roza - 1959
This is my town, where first I saw the light of day
This is the town where as a child I used to play
I've seen the lights of Paris
I've felt the wonder of Rome
But this is my love, this is my town
And it's home
When people talk of other places where they have been
I let them talk, for in my heart
I know they`ve never seen
That shady lane, the distant steeple
Where you'll meet such friendly people
This is my town, a bit tumbledown
This is my town, this is my home
When people talk of other places where they have been
I let them talk, for in my heart
I know they`ve never seen
That shady lane, the distant steeple
Where you'll meet such friendly people
This is my town, a bit tumbledown
This is my town, this is my home
