THREE WHEELS ON THE WAGON
MARK WARREN
LA ESTERELLA
Three wheels on the wagon -
the fourth one wobbling along -
Bump, bump, bump, from side to side,
but oh, what a wonderful ride.
Three wheels on the wagon -
as we went wobbling along,
Slip and slide, then we'd collide,
but oh, what a wonderful ride.
Miles from town the rain came down
we sheltered under a tree.
Like the old grey mare,
I didn't care, I had your arms around me.
Three wheels on the wagon -
the fourth one wobbling along.
The sun came out, began to shine,
I was yours and you were mine.
We just held hands and let the old mare guide,
but oh, what wonderful ride,
