It's Thursday
And goodbye to the mops and pails,
I'll deck out clean
In crepe de chine
And manicure my nails!

It's Thursday
And I'm just gonna swing on down
With my best boy
To The Savoy,
That's where we go to town!

Then we dine at some swell eatin' place,
Blessin' our soup and fish;
I can hardly keep my feet in place,
Don't have to wash a dish!

It's Thursday,
Take your time mister cuckoo clock,
I'll slave on Friday
But I must have my day,
And Thursday's my day off!
