Some of you must think it neat,
You hardware buffs think it's just grand.
But you don't live across the street,
You would not understand.

I've got True Value in the morning
True Value during the day.
True Value in the evening
It never goes away.
I think I'm goin' crazy,
I can't make up my mind.
Or maybe I can't handle
True Value all the time.

It's not so bad throughout the day,
I'm hardly ever home.
But darkness seems to bring a time
To make it's presence known.
I wish that I could rid myself
Of what my eyes do see,
One hundred feet of neon light
Staring back at me.

I've got True Value in the morning
True Value during the day.
True Value in the evening

I've been up here for just one year,
I guess that isn't long.
I'm not one to cry outloud-
So I wrote this song.
I came here for the country
But it will not work as planned,
Cause when I go to sleep at night
I dream of hardware land!
