Who is Sylvia?  What is she
That all her swains commend her?
Lovely, fair and wise is she,
The heaven such grace should render
That ador-ed she might be,

Is she kind as she is fair,
For beauty lives with kindness?
To her eyes love does repair
To help him of his blindness;
And being held in habit there,

To lovely Sylvia let us garlands bring,
For lovely Sylvia excels each mortal thing;
