Ribbons on bright candy canes

It's the sugar plum world of cinnamon swirls
A hints of pinewood in the air
As the church bell chimes about twelve times
I slip into my easy chair

To watch the fire die to an ember

Of a magical night in December
And faith in a sight unseen
