THROUGH YOUR EYES
(Suzy Bogguss / Doug Crider)
Suzy Bogguss - 1995
I look out at the Winter sky, it's grey and overcast
Another year has flown right by, these days they go so fast
I look down at your tiny face and I see things your way
You don't mind if it's too cold to go outside and play
If it might snow on Christmas Day, then, through your eyes
The World looks bright, all lit up with coloured lights
When I think that I lost sight of it, I realise
That through your eyes there's magic in a tree
And in the smiles of family, and I wish
The whole World could see Christmas through your eyes
So I get you all bundled up and brave the downtown shops
Find along that time is short, the traffic never stops
Your little hand pulls me through the crowded sidewalk maze
To see the elves and reindeer and department store displays
Well I see Christmas in your face and through your eyes
The World looks bright, all lit up with coloured lights
When I think that I lost sight of it, I realise
That through your eyes there's magic in a tree
And in the smiles of family, and I wish
The whole World could see Christmas through your eyes
(Instrumental Break)
And through your eyes there's magic in a tree
And in the smiles of family, and I wish
The whole World could see Christmas through the eyes of a child
I wish the whole World could see Christmas through your eyes
