YOU BROKE A HEART (THAT WAS BREAKING FOR YOU)
(Ernest Tubb)
Ernest Tubb - 1940
Moonlight night stars shining bright
Sweethearts are strolling by my window tonight
Laughing so gay as they go on there way
To them to whole world seems bright
And I sit alone lonesome and blue
Wondering, just wondering yet I know it’s true
As I live again those hours of pain
When You Broke A Heart That Was Breaking For You
The heart that was breaking for you, dear
Is broke and will never forgive
And I want you to know, where ever you go
I’ll blame you as long as I live
Now I’ve made mistakes some great, some small
Some are so needless, haven’t we all?
But the greatest mistake in all my time
Was to believe what you said when you said you where mine
As the long years unfold for me there’s not much in view
But if you ever find happiness it’s more than you’re due
If your nights seem so long, so endless and blue
Remember You Broke A Heart That Was Breaking For You
The heart that was breaking for you, dear
Is broke and will never forgive
And I want you to know, where ever you go
I’ll blame you as long as I live
