I met the loudest gal in New Orleans,
She calls her mouth Katie Brown!
She's got the loudest mouth in New Orleans,
And that's a loud Southern town!
When Katie talks, she really yells;
When Katie squawks, she raises - well!
The townfolk try to hush her, but I claim
They can't calm her down.
Oh, you can't shush Katie,
The talky little lady,
The gabbiest gal in town!
When she was young, they say Doctor Beedle
Vaccinated her with a phonograph needle!
Her idle chatter and foolish patter
Makes you wanna strap her down!
When she comes in to say "Hello!",
You have to disconnect the radio!
Oh, you can't shush Katie,
The proper little lady,
The gabbiest gal in town!
Oh, you can't shush Katie,
The talky little lady,
The gabbiest gal in town!
When she was young, they say Doctor Beedle
Vaccinated her with a phonograph needle!
Her idle chatter and foolish patter
Makes you wanna strap her down!
When she comes in to say "Hello!",
You have to disconnect the radio!
Oh, you can't shush Katie,
The proper little lady,
The gabbiest gal in town!
